With less than 6 months left until Fall 2025 hits, we still haven’t gotten any new information about GTA 6. Based on the available information, let’s discuss everything we know so far about GTA 6!

Map Details

First up, let’s start with the details about the map! Well, the GTA franchise is known for its open world, and a big credit to that goes to the map. Not only is there a lot of stuff that players can do around the world, but the scale of the map helps players engage in the game for hours! The GTA 5 map is one of the best maps that have been featured in video games so far.

So players have been very excited to have a look at the GTA 6 map. The community has been so hyped that a few members created a community map based on leaks. There’s a dedicated website that features the entire map of the game. We can see cities such as Vice City, Leonard, Kelly and more. The important areas have been marked as well. Overall, it’s a very detailed map.

It’s fair to assume that, given this is a community map, it would likely be incorrect in many ways! But you’d be surprised to know that it is similar to the actual map. That’s because recently, a modder created an Early Preview of the GTA 6 Map as a mod for GTA 5. The mod used the same community map shown above, but surprisingly, Take-Two shut down the mod. The modder was asked to remove the video showcasing the mod, which means that the map was a little too close to GTA 6’s map!

Technical Details

The GTA franchise is also known for having great visuals and overall technical capabilities! We saw the same with the release of each game in the series. It looks like GTA 6 is going to have a similar story, as we got to know a lot about the graphics of the game, with the release of GTA 5 Enhanced on PC last month!

GTA 5 Enhanced

As per Digital Foundry, the Ray Tracing features of the Enhanced update are really good. Rockstar Games putting so much work into a free update for an older game doesn’t make sense. So, according to them, this feature has most likely been ported from GTA 6, and it is likely being shown as a preview, before GTA 6 eventually does come out.

With the help of the release of GTA 5 Enhanced and the Ray Tracing features of the update, Digital Foundry was also able to give a rough estimate about the performance. Given the game will only be available on PS5 and Xbox consoles at launch, it’s important to understand the performance metrics. As per them, due to the CPU-intensive nature of the ray tracing features, the game will likely run at 30fps rather than 60fps.

Leaks

Let’s now discuss the leaks about the game, as there is a ton of stuff that is to be uncovered. First of all, it was reported that Rockstar wants to make GTA 6 the next creator platform like Roblox. As per the leaks, Rockstar has been in discussions with top Roblox and Fortnite creators to create ‘custom experiences’ in GTA 6. There’s room for a lot of stuff here, as these ‘experiences’ would allow creators to modify the game’s environment and assets, making ad placements and integrating creators’ IP easier!

It was also leaked that the Popular Artist DJ Khaled could be featured in GTA 6’s Radio Station. Given that GTA Online already features songs by famous artists like Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg, there’s a high chance Khalid could get his station too. Along with Khalid, the leak also suggested that there is potential for other real-life artists to be included as well on their radio station.

Moving from celebrities to influencers, no influencer appearance has been confirmed in the game so far. However, the Streamer Adin Ross said his upcoming GTA 6 server would allow users to earn real-life money. But we’re still unsure as to the legality of the claim, as it turns out, Rockstar Games’ Terms of Service do not allow any such activity. They do not allow users to cash out money in real life, and even Adin has not replied to this so far.

It was also reported that PlayStation is likely working with Rockstar for a marketing deal for GTA 6. While it won’t be a timed exclusive deal or a platform exclusive deal, it is being reported that a PS5 Pro bundle would likely be revealed. Given the previous deals that happened between the companies.

Price

Ever since Nintendo released the Switch 2 and announced that their games would cost $80, fans have been speculating about the price of Rockstar’s upcoming release. Well, to be very honest, there’s little to no information about the pricing. While some analysts suggest that GTA 6 could cost $100, it is still hard to say anything on this matter. We’ll also get to know more about the pricing once the pre-orders for the game are revealed.

Release Date

Rockstar Games suggested that GTA 6 would be released in Fall 2025. Though gamers have been confused ever since, as we haven’t known much about the game. But this was later clarified as Take-Two’s CEO explained their new marketing strategy for GTA 6 in an interview. Suggesting that the game would have a shorter marketing campaign to build anticipation. This means that the game is still following the same release window, with no delays for now!

GTA 6 Could Cost 100$

Since we’re on the topic of the release date, let’s also take a moment to discuss the PC release date for the game! As a major part of the community plays the game on PC. Well, Take-Two’s CEO has hinted at the PC release in previous interviews. However, we got a rough idea about the release date from Corsair’s CEO, as according to him, GTA 6 could be coming to PC by early 2026.

With that said, that was all the information we know so far about GTA 6. If there’s any other information that pops up later on, we’ll be sure to update our post!
