Last week, we reported that a modder had created an early preview of the GTA 6 Map. The early preview was available as a mod for GTA 5 and used the community maps available on the internet. Well, ever since the time the mod got uploaded, it looks like Take-Two took notice of it. As in a new update, the modder has posted that the mod has been shut down. Let’s take a look at what happened!
Take-Two Shuts Down GTA 6 Map Project
The YouTube Creator and Modder, Dark Space posted a video on his YouTube channel explaining the entire situation. He said that while he did not get any legal notice from Take Two, the original YouTube video that showcased the entire mod, has been removed. After the video was taken down, the modder decided to take down the mod files as well.
He explained in the video that while he wasn’t asked to do so by Take-Two, he did it anyway, just to be safe. He also explained that the mod got taken down, likely because the mod is a bit too accurate to GTA 6. Well, it does make sense, given the source material was taken from the GTA 6 Community Map, which is based on the previous leaks that happened. Watch the entire video to understand the situation in detail!
