While we wait for GTA 6 to come out next year, it looks like talks about GTA 7 among people have already started! A former Rockstar developer who worked on older GTA games including GTA 3 and GTA 4, was recently in an interview. There he made a statement, which has surprised a lot of GTA fans. Former Rockstar Dev on GTA 7
In an interview with the Content Creator KIWI TALKZ, we got to learn a lot about Obbe Vermeij. He spoke on a lot of different topics, as he gave his opinions on the new GTA 6 trailer. Not only that but we also learned a lot of new things about GTA 3’s development. But one of the most interesting things out of this interview has to be the mention of GTA 7.
While talking about how expensive GTA 6 has been as per rumours, Obbe said that he thinks GTA 7 would be a lot cheaper to make. To prove his point further, he explained how game development works and where most of the money goes while in development. As per him, with the developments made to AI, whenever GTA 7 is made, the cost would be a lot less compared to GTA 6. You can listen to the full podcast below:
Obbe is quite famous on X, as he’s known for his interaction with fans! He has shared his opinions on the new GTA 6 trailer, and has even revealed what went inside Rockstar games while GTA 4 was in development. Very recently, he revealed his favorite GTA protagonist to be Niko Bellic which shouldn’t come as a surprise, given he worked on the game!
With that said, did you know that GTA 5 and GTA Online are finally coming to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The game has been banned from the countries for over 7 years, but Rockstar is finally releasing them. An interesting change comes in the form of the age rating, where the game has been rated 21+ for these countries. Thanks to this release, fans are now guessing that GTA 6 would most likely be released in the country as well.
