For the past few days, the news about the GTA 4 port and Red Dead Redemption 2 remaster has been circulating on the internet. Given the fan following for both games, gamers have been very excited to hear more about them! Well, it seems like we finally have an update on this situation after a statement on the GTA Forums from the popular GTA Insider Tez2, so let’s check out the latest development made on the games!
GTA 4 Port
First of all, let’s talk about the GTA 4 port for modern consoles! While the existence of the port has already been confirmed, many have been doubtful, given that there was also news on the Red Dead Redemption 2 next-gen remaster as well. So while clarifying that, Tez2 said, “Both the IV port and RDR2 next-gen update can coexist and be in development.”
As for the release date, now this is where some interesting news came in. Tez2, confirmed that the port is in development at Rockstar Games, but he didn’t specify the release date. In his post, he said, “I don’t know when the IV port is planned for release, but it’s definitely in development.” Chances are, it could come out next year, after the release of GTA 6.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Remaster
As for the Red Dead Redemption 2 remaster, we last reported that the game is in the works at Rockstar Games. Well, Tez2 has now confirmed the same. While he hasn’t mentioned anything about the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game, based on past reports, it’s safe to assume that the game might be released on the console on the same day.
However, unlike the GTA 4 port, it is expected that the Red Dead Redemption 2 remaster will be released before the end of the year. Take-Two follows a cycle of releasing a remaster every year, and given that no remasters have been released this year (Excluding GTA 5 Enhanced on PC), chances are we might get to see something!
