Ever since Dan Houser, one of Rockstar Games’ Co-Founder left the company, fans have been eagerly waiting for his return. Having worked on almost all major games in the GTA franchise, Dan is very well known and respected by the community. Well, his company Absurd Ventures has finally revealed their first project, so let’s take a look at what are they working on!
“AMERICAN CAPER” Comic Book
After months of wait, Absurd Ventures, the company founded by Dan Houser has revealed their first project. The company has published a dedicated trailer on YouTube. Meanwhile, their X account has revealed more information about the project. It has been revealed that the comic book will be a 12-issue series, and it is being published by Dark Horse Comics.
Furthemore, they have also revealed that the first comic, the “Issue #1” will be available starting this year from November 12. With the popular San Diego Comic Con starting next week, the company has decided to reveal more information there. The Panel has already been revealed, as the fan-favorite Lazlow Jones will also be a part of it.

Dan Houser left Rockstar back in 2020. Back then, it was quite unclear as to what exactly went down over at Rockstar. However, years later, we finally have more clue about it. So turns out, Dan had been working on the story for GTA 6 since 2014, however even after multiple rewrites, his story kept getting rejected for being “too dark” and that’s when he left the studio in 2020.

But as of now, it looks like Dan Houser and his studio Absurd Ventures is doing quite well. It’ll be interesting to see whether Dan would eventually ever want to go back to making video games or not, but well, only time will tell that.

With that said, did you know, that Rockstar recently shut down their Social Club service? It is being suggested that the service has been shutdown as it hasn’t been updated in years. Not only that, but some reputable sources suggest that the service is likely under a heavy revamp in order to prepare for the release of GTA 6 next year!
