Development on GTA 6 Began In 2018 Says Former Rockstar Artist

No one knows the exact time when GTA 6 went into development. Some believe, work on the game started right after GTA 5 was released. While others think it started after Red Dead Redemption 2 was released. But well, very recently, a former Rockstar artist gave out the exact time when the game went into development. Let’s check out what he shared!

Former Rockstar Artist on GTA 6

Former Rockstar Artist, Game World Art, recently made a reaction video on the latest GTA 6 trailer. While talking about the game, he also revealed the development cycle of the game. His exact words were, “I was an environment artist at Rockstar for, um, 12 years. I left Rockstar in 2023. So, I worked on GTA 6 from, I guess, 2018 to 2023, went on to it after we wrapped up on RDR2. So, it’s fascinating having a look at all this stuff,”

In case you didn’t know, the YouTube channel Game World Art is owned by David O’Reilly. He is a 3d Environment Artist who has worked at Rockstar Games for 12 years. During his extensive career, he worked on hit games like GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2. Along with that, he has also worked on the upcoming flagship game by Rockstar, GTA 6.

In other news, it was recently reported that Michael’s Boat has been found in the latest GTA 6 trailer. A boat that looked very similar to Michael’s boat in GTA 5 was found in a few sequences of the trailer. Even the voice actor of Michael, Ned Luke, reacted to this news while sharing his thoughts on the latest trailer.
