With the release date of GTA 6 coming closer as the days pass, fans have been disappointed with the marketing of the game. Well, because ever since Trailer 1 for the game dropped in 2023, we’ve yet to see any other update! Seemingly, a lot of people have started to think that it is highly likely that the game is getting delayed. However, Take-Two’s CEO has explained their marketing strategy for GTA 6! Marketing Strategy For GTA 6
Recently, Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, was in an interview with Bloomberg Television. While most of the interview focused on the video games business, Zelnick also talked about mobile gaming! However, towards the end of the interview, we did get some much-needed information, as the host finally asked about GTA 6!
Zelnick started by saying that GTA 6 has had the ‘greatest anticipation’ of an entertainment product that he has ever witnessed in his career. Furthermore, he said that to maintain that anticipation, they’ve not revealed much. He explained, “We found that the better thing to do is to provide marketing materials relatively close to the release window.”

Now that the CEO himself has cleared things up about the marketing strategy. It becomes pretty clear that GTA 6 is likely not getting delayed! They’re just trying to do all the marketing with the game, as soon as the release date comes closer. Unlike other games that they’ve released in the past, Rockstar is doing something different for this one! It does make sense, though, given all the hype surrounding the game.
