Rockstar Games and Take Two Interactive have been under a lot of fire lately! The announcement of the GTA 6 delay has set them back, but later reports of Union Busting were also revealed, which have not been a good look for them. However, it looks like the situation is going to get even worse from here, as it has been found out that CEO Strauss Zelnick has an ongoing case filed against him, where he has been accused of Sexual Misconduct.
How Was The Case Found?
Taking a look at the filling date on the case, reveals that the case was originally filled on 08/09/2024. Meaning that this has been an ongoing case for more than a year, which suggests that most likely, Two Two Interactive or Zelnick, have been trying to hide it actively. But the question remains, how come the report was actually found out after almost a year?
Well, there’s a story behind that too. Apparently, someone on the GTAForums, found out about the case from a public website known as UniCourts that monitors data from state and federal courts across the United States. Digging up more reveals that the case file has been up for quite some time on their website. The web page reveals a lot of information about the case.
Strauss Zelnick Accused Of Sexual Misconduct
While the UniCourts website has blurred out the Case Number, we dug deeper, and found the actual case number as well. The listed case number is 24STCV20137 and to verify it, we also went ahead and searched it on the official LA Courts Government website. On there, we were able to find out the latest update was made to the case just a few days back on 4th November, and an upcoming hearing will be made on 20th November as well.
Speaking of the case itself, while the Plaintiff has been remained anonymous (the name “John Doe” was used a placeholder name), the defendant details clearly state that the case is being filed against “Zelnick Harry Strauss“. For those unaware, Strauss Zelnick’s actual name is Harry, while his middle and more commonly used name is Strauss.
The complaint section under the case starts off by saying, “Harry Strauss Zelnick, CEO of video game titan Take-Two Interactive, ultra-rich investor, and private equity magnate, is a sexual predator.” Diving further down reveals many allegations including sexual misconduct, such as “grooming, unwanted exposure, and unsolicited explicit images,”
As per the case files, Zelnick had used his access to investment capital and business influence to “groom” the plaintiff. After that, it has also been claimed that Zelnick had sent unsolicited text messages containing half-nude pictures of himself. Furthermore, it also being claimed that Zelnick had repeatedly invited the plaintiff to his hotel room to shower with him.
So far, all the details about the Sexual Miscount are unproven allegations. From what we could find on public websites, no PDF detailing “grooming, unwanted exposure, and unsolicited explicit images,” has been found out. So as of now, those specific claims can’t be verified, but if any further news does come out, it could stir up a lot of things!
