A few weeks back, as per reports NatetheHate a popular leaker suggested that a next-gen edition for Red Dead Redemption 2 is in works. As per him, the game would be released on current-gen hardware, along with the newly released Switch 2! But there was a twist, when Rockstar Games announced that the original Red Dead Redemption is coming to mobile devices. Ever since then, people have started doubting, and have asked if RDR2 is getting a re-release or not? Well, to clarify that the leaker has given out a statement!
NatetheHate on Red Dead Redemption 2 Next-Gen
After the announcement from Rockstar Games about the original Red Dead Redemption, many people on X were confused! Because, as per leaks, we should have gotten news about Red Dead Redemption 2 instead. One of those people directly asked NatetheHate on his statement regarding the rumor. To which, NatetheHate did give out a reply!

He said that from what he has learned from his sources, RDR2 port is still happening! Furthermore, he also claimed that his contacts wouldn’t confuse the original Red Dead Redemption with the sequel. Lastly, he has said that he’ll try to get an update regarding this, so as of now, all we can do is wait! Here was his exact reply: “Was told about RDR2, specifically. I can’t imagine my contacts confused RDR1 for RDR2; but will try to get an update.”
While fans have been waiting for the next-gen version since a long time, however you’re not alone. Even the Voice Actor behind Arthur Morgan, Roger Clark has also voiced out his opinion on the same. A few months back, he mocked Rockstar Games and asked where the next-gen edition of the game was, since the game is still 30fps on modern consoles!
