We last reported that Edge Magazine’s new issue gave us new details about Leslie Benzies’ upcoming game, MindsEye! Well, the same magazine feature also revealed that, along with the single-player linear game, Build A Rocket Boy, is also working on an open-world multiplayer game set in the same universe as MindsEye. Let’s see all the details that have been revealed so far about this new game!

Multiplayer Game Set in MindsEye Universe
Firstly, it is essential to note that the multiplayer game discussed here is unrelated to the Everywhere platform developed by the developers. Both things are different from each other. As of now, no name has been given to the multiplayer open-world game. So far, we know that the game exists, and it is set in the same universe as MindsEye.
Along with sharing the same universe as MindsEye, it will also be taking place in the same city of Redrock, as seen in MindsEye. The magazine reveals that players will have the freedom to explore, create, and shape their own stories within the world. Lastly, the magazine has revealed that the game will be released in 2026, but no official release date has been given out so far.

Leslie Benzies, the former GTA producer and the founder of Build A Rocket Boy, shared some interesting insights about the games that the studio is working on. He said, “Science Fiction is definitely an area that we’re going to push hard on at BARB. Because it’s exciting, it’s the unknown. It’s riskier to do the future stuff, because it can often come across as gonky or weird”.
Last month, Build A Rocket Boy showcased a Gameplay and Story trailer of MindsEye, during the PlayStation State of Play event. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, and PC. As of now, the game is scheduled to release sometime in summer 2025, but the studio has not specified an exact release date.
