Rockstar Games has rolled out a new weekly update for GTA Online for August. The update was released today, and it’s the third update of the month! The GTA Online update was released on 28th August and will be applicable until 3rd September. It brings many new, exciting changes that are time-limited. So, without wasting any further time, let’s check them out.
New Weekly Changes:
Let’s start with the latest changes made to the game! The first update comes in the form of the update to the weekly challenge; if you complete all ten waves of a Survival, then you’ll be eligible to receive The Buccaneer Outfit and GTA$100,000. The FIB Priority File has also been updated, and it now includes the Black Box File.
Speaking of the Salyage Yard Robberies, the Top Tier includes the Cargo Ship Robbery, which has the Grotti Itali RSX! Meanwhile, the Standard Tier has the Duggan Robbery, and it comes with the Annis ZR350. Last but not least, let’s not forget about the Low Tier, which includes the Podium Robbery, and it comes with the BF Weevil.

Speaking of this week’s rewards, there are a plenty of new ones! Just by booting up and login, players are eligible to receive the Panther Tour Jacket. Along with that, there’s also a one-time bonus of GTA$1,000,000. The amount is doubled to GTA$2,000,000 for GTA+ Members. Last but not least, if you participate in the Cayo Perico Survival, then you’ll be able to receive the I Survived Cayo Perico Tee within 72 hours.
As for normal rewards, players can get 2X GTA$ & RP on Cayo Perico Survival. The bonus is doubled for GTA+ Members here as well, as they can get 4X GTA$ & RP on the same. Meanwhile, the regular 2X bonus is also applied to Hidden Caches, along with that it is also applicable on the Community Combat Series, and the Featured Series; Open Wheel Races, which is a returning mode.
Let’s also not forget about the free vehicles! This week’s Lucky Wheel Podium Vehicle includes the Willard Eudora. Along with that, the LS Car Meet Prize Ride has also been updated, and it includes the Übermacht Zion Classi. You can get the vehicle by placing Top 5 in the LS Car Meet Series.

Rockstar hasn’t posted about the update on their newswire yet; however, the community post reads, “Cayo Perico has descended into chaos as waves of undead conquistadors, beast-handlers, and splitters overrun the island. Fight your way to the airstrip and hold out for extraction to earn 2X GTA$ and RP, or 4X as a GTA+ Member, through September 10. Joining the fight unlocks the I Survived Cayo Perico Tee, while surviving all ten waves scores The Buccaneer Outfit plus a GTA$100,000 bonus.“
