Rockstar Games has rolled out a new weekly update for GTA Online for August. The update was released today, and it’s the second update of the month! The update was released on 14th August and will be applicable until 20th August. It brings many new, exciting changes that are time-limited. So, without wasting any further time, let’s check them out.
New Weekly Changes:
Players can now get GTA$100,000 if they win three LS Car Meet races. Surprisingly, Rockstar has also announced what to look out for next, as they’ve announced a GTA$1M cash giveaway! The giveaway will start on August 21. Along with that, they’ve also announced that a new tropical Survival mode is coming later this summer.
A big update for PC players comes in the form of the addition of the Frame Generation feature! With the latest update on PC, GTA 5 Enhanced now supports DLSS and FSR Frame Generation. This feature was announced back when GTA 5 Enhanced was officially announced, but after quite a while, it has finally made its way to the game.
Meanwhile, let’s also talk about the Salvage Yard Robberies! This week’s robberies include the Gangbanger Robbery with Överflöd Entity MT, under the standard tier. Meanwhile, the Podium Robbery includes the Vapid Dominator GTT, again under the standard tier. Last but not least, the McTony Robbery includes the Weeny Issi Rally under the low tier.

Speaking of rewards, players can get 2X GTA$, RP, & LS CAR MEET REP this week on the LS Car Meet Series. Along with that, they’re also eligible for 2X on all Sources of LS Car Meet Rep. Last but not least, 2X GTA$ & RP has also been made available for the Featured Series and the Community Combat Series.
This week’s Lucky Wheel Podium Vehicle includes the Declasse Weaponised Tampa. As for the LS Car Meet Prize Ride, it has been refreshed and includes the Karin Calico GTF. You can get it by placing in the Top 4 in the LS Car Meet Series for two days in a row. On completing a Drift Race, players be eligible to receive the Painted n’ Shaded limited-time livery for the RUNE Cheburek (Drift). Not only that, but if you also complete a Drift Race in the Dinka Jester RR, you can also receive the Drift Gorilla Green limited-time livery.

Aside from regular discounts, this week’s gun van discounts feature the Up-n-Atomiser, available at a 30% discount for a limited time. Not only that, but if you’ve subscribed to GTA+, then you can get the Precision Rifle at a 40% discount.
Rockstar hasn’t posted about the update on their newswire yet; however, the community post reads, “Drift Week hits with the Declasse Drift Walton L35 free for all players for two weeks and compete in Drift Races for exclusive liveries and in the LS Car Meet Series for 2X GTA$, RP, and LS Car Meet Rep, plus a GTA$100,000 bonus for winning three LS Car Meet races.“
