If you’re a GTA Fan, then I’m sure you must have heard the name Lazlow Jones! He is one of the people behind every GTA game made so far. While he is no longer associated with Rockstar Games anymore, Lazlow did speak about the recent GTA 6 delay that pushed the game to November 19th, 2026. Let’s take a look at what he said!
Lazlow Jones on the GTA 6 Delay
Lazlow, who was once a former Rockstar Games head, left the company back in 2020. Ever since then, he has been working with Dan Houser on his new venture, Absurd Ventures! Recently, he was in an interview, talking about the latest project he’s working on. While the interview mainly focused around it, the interview did ask him about the GTA 6 delay!
To which Lazlow replied, “You work so hard and are so immersed in it, it takes you years to get to 95 per cent,” Furthermore, he also said, “We’ve always been about ‘don’t release something until it’s right’. You see so many projects out there that come out too early and I can’t speak about Rockstar now, I haven’t been there since 2020, but making open world games is hard.”

Lazlow, then mentioned about the current project he’s working on, A Better Paradise! He said, “We’re seeing it in the early days on the development of A Better Paradise, it’s making those huge, vast maps with sentient characters walking around, interacting and making a world that feels lived in which is hard. It’s a craft that Dan [Houser] honed over 25 years.”
