Rockstar Games and Take Two Interactive have been all over the news for the past few days. In case you’re unaware, Rockstar Games had fired over 30+ employees, stating “gross misconduct” as a reason. However, later on, it was discovered that this wasn’t the case. Reports have claimed that this was an act of union-busting, and ever since then, many have spoken up. Most recently, an interview was released, where multiple of the fired Rockstar Games employees shared their stories, and how it has affected them since!
Fired Employees Share Their Stories
The latest video by People Make Games took us to Edinburgh, Scotland, right outside the Rockstar North office. Several of the fired Rockstar Games Employees were present outside and were protesting, demanding better resolution. The video features many of the fired employees, who have shared their stories on how these firings have affected their lives. Let’s take a look at one of the people who has shared how the professional working careers of so many people will be affected moving forward!
The interviewer asked one of the fired employees how a firing like this is going to affect their professional life going forward! To which the employee replied, “If I have gross misconduct on my CV, on my resume for the rest of my life, that is a huge detriment to any future career prospects.” Furthermore, she also said, “All of us still want to be here. We want our jobs, we want to finish what we were working on. And now the internal shame feel of having this gross misconduct with you forever, it’s hard to explain.”
