Max Payne Remakes To Reportedly Release In First Half Of 2026

We last reported that the Max Payne Remakes were in full production and are making steady progress according to Remedy. However, there has been a new update regarding the release date of the game, and we finally have an idea about when the game could be released, so let’s have a look at it!

Max Payne Remakes Release Date

Someone on Reddit spotted that Remedy’s website has a section for Analyst Reports, where there was a report that was published back in December with the name, “Remedy extensive report: No game, no fame”

One thing to note is that Remedy’s website mentions that “The following analysts, brokerage houses, and investment companies monitor Remedy as an investment target. Remedy is not responsible for their evaluations or recommendations regarding the company.” In simple words, it means that Remedy does not confirm or neither does it deny anything that the analysts report.

From the report, we could see an image that has been attached above, that says Max Payne Remakes could be released in H1 of 2026. The same report also mentioned that “The project has progressed well in recent years and is now in full production (we expect a release in 2026).” It also mentions that the game has a budget of 60 Million Euros, which is the same as Alan Wake 2.

Back when it was announced that the games were going to be remade by Remedy Games, in a press release, Sam Houser Founder of Rockstar Games said, “We were thrilled when our long-time friends at Remedy approached us about remaking the original Max Payne games,” Furthermore he also said, “We are massive fans of the work the Remedy team has created over the years, and we can’t wait to play these new versions.”
