Given the hype surrounding GTA 6, it is pretty much sure at this point, that it will be the biggest game release of all time. Well, since the game is going to be first released for consoles, both PlayStation and Xbox are gearing up for the launch of the game. Recently, a PlayStation Executive was in an interview and was asked some questions about GTA 6. Let’s check out what they had to say!
PlayStation Executive On GTA 6
Greg Rice, who is the Head of PlayStation Creators was recently at the Game Developer’s Conference 2025. There he was talking to GamesRadar about Indie titles and the impact GTA 6 is going to have on the industry. He said, “GTA 6 will be the biggest, most incredible and gigantic game of the year,” Furthermore, he also believes that the game will “do gangbusters and sell millions of copies,”
He was also asked about the fear of releasing games around the time GTA 6 comes out. To which he replied, “The industry is matured enough that there’s space for that and for other things as well. It’s gonna be a combination of ‘there will be games that will be successful around GTA time because they’re totally different,’ but it’ll also bring a lot more people back into the ecosystem.”

Lastly, Rice talked about how massive the game would be for the growth of the console industry, given that more people would buy a next-gen console once GTA 6 is released. According to him, “It’ll be the opportunity to get in on the new console generation and see what else is out there. So it’s definitely gonna be a big economic boost for the games industry, and will be a multiple billion dollar title”
In other news, we recently reported that a new rumour suggests that PlayStation is likely working with Rockstar Games for a Marketing Deal for GTA 6. Both companies have had a long history of working together, and we’ve seen marketing deals between them since the PS2 era. It’ll be interesting to see what we’ll get this time!
