While Rockstar isn’t a big fan of this, as you might remember, the Liberty City Preservation Project. However, that doesn’t stop modders! This time around, a group of modders have brought back the iconic New Austin from Red Dead Redemption to RDR2! Let’s check out all the details of the mod.

New Austin From Red Dead Redemption

New Austin Red Dead Redemption

The ‘Project New Austin 1907‘ brings back New Austin from Red Dead Redemption to RDR2. This mod took over 4 years to make, modders sure love working on these projects! A lot of work has been done over it. It brings back the iconic Blackwater ferry from the original game. Not only that, but it also features a populated Armadillo. Even a fully functional train system has been added as well. Along with that, it brings a lot of new changes.

The mod is available to download on Nexus Mods. The description given by the modders reads, “Brings back those classic RDR1 locations with added detail to match RDR2’s level of quality, and adds new life to those already in the game, making a more believable 1907 version of the map. Also includes that gritty, spaghetti western new Austin color scheme from the first game, now implemented properly with seamless transitions, and full compatibility with all your favorite visual mods.”

If you’ve played Red Dead Redemption 2, then you might know that while the game has the same location. However, visiting the location as Arthur is a bit tough because he is wanted there. The modders have made sure the same remains here. The modders say, “New Austin is now open to Arthur as well, though he is still being hunted by the law.”

In other news, it was recently reported that Red Dead Redemption 2 was the most downloaded game on PlayStation in February. This is the third month when the game has been the most downloaded from the PlayStation Store. Sadly, Rockstar still hasn’t released the PS5 patch for the game, yet. So the game still runs at 30fps on the PS5.
