GTA 5 Is Coming To Xbox Game Pass Later This Month

We last reported that you could soon play GTA 5 for free via PC Game Pass; however, at that time, we could not confirm the release date. But in a new update, it now looks like GTA 5 is coming to Xbox Game Pass very soon, according to some sources. Let’s check out when the game could be released on the service!

Ben (@videotechuk) on X reported that a new email had been sent to the community pages, which reported that the game is coming to PC Game Pass and Game Pass for console “later this month”. As of now, exact release dates haven’t been revealed, but would likely be revealed soon.

UPDATE: The official GamePass account on X announced that the game would be coming on 15th April. They’ve also confirmed that GTA 5 Enhanced will be playable with PC Game Pass.

While GTA 5 has previously been part of the Console Game Pass service, we never got to see it on PC Game Pass. But, latest reports state that the game is going to be available on Console, Cloud, as well as PC. Recently, the Rockstar Games Launcher got a new update, too. The update added support for the Xbox PC app, which confirms that the game is coming to PC.

As of now, we cannot confirm if Game Pass is going to have the Legacy or the Enhanced edition on its service. Given that the Enhanced edition was a free upgrade on PC, Game Pass would likely get the Enhanced edition of the game. But if any new confirmation comes, we’ll be sure to report that first!

In other news, a new GTA Online Weekly Update was released recently. The update will apply from 3rd to 9th April. There’s a free outfit that players can claim by logging into the game. Not only that, aside from weekly challenges, rewards and discounts, there are a bunch of modes returning to the game too.
