Pre-Loads for GTA 5 Next Gen have started

First of all, the pre-loads for the game have finally started. Anyone who already owns GTA 5 on PC, will now see GTA 5 Enhanced available in their library to begin pre-loading. This is only for the Rockstar Games Launcher version though, no details of pre-loads have been released for other platforms.
The existing version for PC has been renamed GTA 5 Legacy. The legacy version will continue to receive updates too, for players who don’t meet the new system requirements. You can check out the system requirements here.
Steam Page for GTA 5 Next Gen is now live!

The Steam Page for the Next Gen edition is live too, and it is called “Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced”. As of now, pre-loads have not started for the Steam version. The description for the game on Steam mentions, “Experience entertainment blockbusters Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online — now upgraded for a new generation with stunning visuals, faster loading, 3D audio, and more, plus exclusive content for GTA Online players.”
Save Migration on GTA 5 and Online Legacy

Next up, is the Save Migration from the Legacy version to the Enhanced edition. On your Legacy version of the game, you’ll need to first upload your save file to the Rockstar Cloud. After that’s done, you’ll be able to migrate your Story mode progress and GTA Online character progress from within GTA 5 Enhanced, once it gets released.
About the online progress, Rockstar Games has given more information on their support website. The online save migration will include any Characters, GTA$, Progression, Stats, Vehicles, Properties, Weapons, Clothing, and Player-Created Jobs. For the missions created by the players, any changes made to a mission on GTA 5 Legacy on PC will appear in GTA 5 Enhanced on PC, however, the missions created or edited in GTA 5 Enhanced on PC will not be available in GTA 5 Legacy on PC.
In their newswire post, Rockstar Games announced, “Beginning today, you can also preemptively migrate your Story Mode progress to the new version, directly from the Pause Menu inside GTAV Legacy on PC. Please note, you can update the Story Mode Save Game uploaded to Rockstar Games multiple times — overwriting the previously uploaded Save Game each time — but you can only migrate it to GTAV Enhanced once, and while you will be able to continue playing from where you left off in GTAV Legacy, progress cannot be copied back.”
