Split Fiction’s Director Wants GTA 6 To Win GOTY Instead Of His Own Game

In case you’ve watched the Game Awards over the past few years, then you might remember Josef Fares! Josef has been featured, and has showcased his games on the show over the years. Some of the games made by his studio include A Way Out, It Takes Two, and the recently released game Split Fiction. Well, recently Split Fiction’s Director, Josef made a statement regarding GTA 6 which has certainly surprised everyone! Let’s check out what he had to say.

Split Fiction’s Director On GTA 6

In a recent interview with MinnMax, Josef, Split Fiction’s Director, was talking about his game. At the end of the interview, the interviewer asked Josef’s thoughts on this year’s Game Awards. The interviewer asked if his new game Split Fiction might win the Game of the Year award.

To which, Josef replied saying, “Not if GTA 6 comes out”, the interviewer then further questioned Josef about what he thinks of GTA 6, and the game going up against his own game Split Fiction this year. He replied saying, “I love GTA, I would love for it to come out,”

His reaction was surprising, because if you’ve followed the Game Awards for a long time, you might remember Josef. He is the same guy who’s known for saying the iconic “F*** the Oscars” line. Not only that, but his game, It Takes Two, won Game of the Year Award back in 2021. The announcement for Split Fiction was made on the stage of the Game Awards too. So yes, Josef and the Game Awards do have a long history together!

In other news, the most popular GTA 5 graphics mod just got another update, this comes right after the release of GTA 5 Enhanced edition. The update brings new features to the mod. The mod features a visual overhaul and it brings changes to the environmental weather, lighting system, and some other areas too!
