Rockstar is teasing the arrival of the next GTA Online update. Reportedly it could be named “Oscar Guzman Flies Again“, and they’re teasing the update by sending a text message in the game. This update is going to be the first major update that the game is going to receive this year too. Let’s check out everything that the new update could feature!
Next GTA Online Update: Oscar Guzman Flies Again
Upon booting up the game, you will receive a text message. The message is a tip-off from Ron Jakowski about the McKenzie Field Hangar. In case you didn’t know, it was originally owned by Trevor in the base game of GTA 5. This update is going to have a series of missions, and it is reportedly going to be a continuation of the ‘Agents of Sabotage‘ update.
According to Popular GTA Insider @TezFunz2, before this, Rockstar had also teased the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid on February 22, 2024, and the update was released two weeks after that on March 7, 2024. So if this update were to follow the same pattern, the next update strand could drop on March 4, 2025.
The text message that the player sees upon booting the game reads, “Did you hear the McKenzie Field Hangar’s coming up for sale? That’s Trevor’s place! It’s always been Trevor’s place! I never did trust that Oscar a**hole. No loyalty! If you hear who ends up buying it let me know…”
In case you forgot about Oscar Guzman, he is a character that appears in GTA 5. He is a friend of Trevor and has bought guns from him a few times in the game. There is even a dedicated side mission, ‘All Arms Trafficking Air’, which can be played in the base game. You can check out the gameplay of the mission from here.
If this theory does turn out to be true, then the update could be released alongside the Next Gen Edition for GTA 5 on PC.
