Nintendo Switch 2 Can Run All Rockstar Games Titles On Launch

The talk of the month in the gaming community so far has been the Nintendo Switch 2, successor to the original Switch. Nintendo revealed the hardware details of their new console, along with the compatibility for the older games released on the Nintendo Switch. From there, we also got to know about some of the Rockstar Games titles that will also work on Nintendo Switch 2 at launch! Let’s see what games are supported.

Nintendo released new documentation on their website, which reveals the game compatibility list. While a large number of games seem to be supported, there are issues with a few games. Nintendo says that some Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.

However, Rockstar fans would be glad to know that none of the Rockstar Games titles are on the list, which means that all the titles would be supported on launch! Rockstar Games released a total of three games on the Nintendo Switch. The list includes LA Noire, GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition, and Red Dead Redemption.

It was announced that Take-Two and 2K Games’ Borderlands 4 is coming to the Switch 2 Day 1. This news has made fans even more excited for more ports. In their latest direct, Nintendo showcased games like Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring running on the Switch 2, as well. It’ll be interesting to see if older Rockstar Games titles like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 get released on the Nintendo Switch 2 or not!

In other news, it was recently reported that GTA 5 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass later this month. While GTA 5 has previously been part of the Console Game Pass service, we never got to see it on PC Game Pass. This time around, consoles will get the game’s standard edition, and PC Game Pass will get the newer GTA 5 Enhanced edition.
