Aside from the leaked release date, the developers did officially announce their presence at the PAX East event! What Does It Mean For GTA 6?
Well, the bigger question that most people would be asking is, what does this mean for GTA 6? If you notice, Take Two has a very packed schedule of games releasing this year! First, Mafia: The Old Country comes out in August. Right after that, Borderlands 4 is releasing in September. Last but not least, while we don’t yet know the release date, the flagship title, GTA 6, comes out this fall!
Given that all these games come from the same company, Take-Two Interactive. It is highly likely that the release date for Mafia: The Old Country has been set very strategically. It could have been done so that both games get enough time for marketing. Not only that, but it is likely that all of this is being done so that none of the games clash with each other!

While the publishers were unnamed, it was revealed that they don’t want to release their games at the same time as GTA 6.
In other news, it was recently reported that GTA 5 Beta assets from PS3 are being ported to the PC version. If you didn’t know, a beta build for the game was leaked earlier this month! The build showcased some never-seen assets, as they were likely cut out from the game’s final build.
