With each new generation of consoles, we’ve seen a step up in video game graphics. However, even after so many years, live-action visuals are something that we’ve only managed to see in a handful of games. However, Take Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, believes that this technology is soon going to be accessible to even more game studios. Let’s see what he said!
Take Two CEO on Live-Action Visuals Games
If you recall, we recently reported that Zelnick was in an interview with Bloomberg, and that’s where we got to know about the Marketing Strategy for GTA 6! Well, the interview also focused a lot on the video game industry and mobile gaming. There he discussed about the usage of live-action visuals in video games!
When the host started talking about video game visuals, Zelnick mentioned their NBA game and said, “Our game, NBA 2K, if you squint, looks like real basketball. But you still have to squint a little bit. It’s still animation. It’s terrific animation. But we don’t really have interactive entertainment yet that really looks like live-action.”

Later on, he explained his point and said, “Technology will get us there, but probably [in] a shorter period of time than maybe even I expect. That doesn’t mean that every game is going to look like live-action. That wouldn’t make any sense creatively, but that will be another tool in our toolkit that’s generated by technology.”
In other news, it was recently reported that the new MindsEye trailer gave a throwback to older Rockstar titles. The new trailer for the game had a reference to Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition and GTA 5. Fans believe that Leslie Benzies has most likely done it intentionally, given his departure from Rockstar in 2016.
