It has been over 500 days since the initial announcement of GTA 6. We haven’t heard anything about the game since then. If you recall, we recently reported that GTA 6 news is expected as Take-Two’s yearly investor call will be taking place soon. Well, it looks like some announcement is almost certain, as even a popular Insider has reported that we might hear some GTA 6 news soon. Let’s check out what he said!
GTA 6 News Expected Soon
Popular Insider, Tom Henderson, was recently on his podcast Insider Gaming Weekly. Towards the end of the episode, Tom Henderson started by saying he expects to hear about the game soon. As per him, if the game is indeed still targeting a Fall 2025 release window, then we should get to hear something within the next two weeks.
While Tom didn’t exactly mention anything about a delay. However, he gave a rough estimate as to what the next release date could be if the game were to get delayed. He predicts ideally, it would target a Fall 2026 release date instead. Given the past game delays Rockstar Games have had, a one-year gap does sound normal. Even Red Dead Redemption 2 saw a one-year delay, while games like GTA 4 and GTA 5 were delayed by 6 months.
Aside from all of this, the insider did drop some big news, announcing that his piece on GTA 6 should arrive in the coming weeks. He said that he has a piece prepared mentioning everything about GTA 6, as well as the “online component”. While we’ve heard a ton about the story details and other gameplay mechanics. The online component of the game is still the least talked-about thing so far.

In other news, it was recently revealed that GTA 5 and GTA Online will leave PlayStation Plus next month. The service had both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game. However, they will now be leaving on 20th May. There is some good news for Xbox gamers, though, as GTA 5 was recently added to Xbox Game Pass.
