Twitch recently shared its stats for the year 2024. Over 15.6 billion hours of gaming content are watched globally, as per the report. They shared the year-on-year growth numbers for their streamers. They also broke down individual games, along with their hours watched globally! While the list had some popular e-sports and multiplayer titles like Valorant and Fortnite. But the most viewed game at the top spot was GTA 5 from 2013.
Given the numbers shared by Twitch, it is fair to say that GTA 5 is very much relevant for gamers. After all this, it would be interesting to see how GTA 6 performs once it comes out. There’s a high chance the game will have high demand on streaming platforms like Twitch and Kick. Since the game is only coming out for consoles, with no planned release for PC as of now.
