The much awaited update for GTA 5 has finally dropped for PC. Features like ray-tracing, that were once available only on modern consoles, are finally available on the PC version of the game. Let’s take a look at why this is happening!

GTA 5 Enhanced becomes the worst rated Rockstar Game on Steam

GTA 5 Enhanced on Steam

The image attached above has been taken from the Steam listing of the game. At the time of writing this post, over 13,000 reviews have been registered by gamers. As you can see, the game has got the tag for ‘Mixed’ reviews on Steam. This means that over 50% of the people who have reviewed the game, have recommended against it.

While this may seem confusing given the fact that this is a free upgrade, I mean, why are people even against it? Well, as it turns out, the Enhanced edition has got quite a few major flaws that gamers are not liking. Most gamers are not happy with how Rockstar has implemented the migration of save game data from the legacy version.

Since Rockstar only allows users to migrate one save data, people with multiple save files are stuck with starting over. Not only that, but as we covered in our GTA 5 Enhanced PC Details; Migrate Save Game, FPS Cap & More post, Rockstar has also removed in-game text chat which was used quite often by GTA Online players. Issues like these are the reason why most people are leaving negative reviews!

In other news, after the release of the Enhanced edition, both the Legacy and Enhanced were on the Top 10 Steam Charts. So in a very interesting way, GTA 5 on Steam has set a unique record which no other game ever could
