As we last talked about in our post, ‘The Unfortunate Downfall of FiveM‘, the current state of the project isn’t great! There are a ton of issues with the game, and that’s why most people are leaving the community. But it looks like we have a new successor to FiveM, as Hypersonic Labs has unveiled their open-world sandbox game HELIX. Let’s discuss in detail everything we know so far about the project!
Hypersonic Labs’ HELIX
While the project has been in the works for quite some time now, Hypersonic Labs finally unveiled the product with an official trailer! The trailer showcases all the features, but most importantly, it showcases that HELIX is a multiplayer sandbox game. As per the developers, gamers can create and share mods and join servers with people around the world.

Further details reveal that the game is going to be powered by UE5. It has also been confirmed that the game would be free to play, as well as free to create. The developers have also showcased user-created worlds. They also showcased a few gamemodes which include CityRP, DarkRP, MilitaryRP, MedievalRP and others!
Users also have the freedom to join and create maps in the game! The character creator in the game is also pretty detailed. Player characters and NPCs get options for importing custom clothes, accessories, etc. The game comes with Advanced Vehicle System, modding support, as well as fully built hosting tools!
As of now, the website of the game ‘HELIX’ only mentions that the game will be released for PC. No information about the release date has been given out as well, and the developers have said that the game is still in development. However, they have announced the closed alpha program, so we should be seeing more about the game in the coming months!

So far, the company Hypersonic Labs has managed to raise $11 million. Back in 2024, the company announced that it had raised $7 million in a Series A funding round. In a press release, the company mentioned that the new funds will be used to expand the Hypersonic Laboratories team and prepare for HELIX’s Closed Alpha launch.
In other news, a new GTA Online Weekly Update 17th- 23rd April was released! Aside from all the regular changes to the rewards, bonuses and other features, the update also brings back a fan-favourite character to the game! All the in-game items that the update brings revolve around the 4/20 week!
