FiveM, the popular multiplayer mod for GTA 5 that allows players to play on custom servers, has announced that their service will support the new free upgrade of the game on PC. This version of the game features all the Next Gen features that were missing from the PC version of the game previously. Let’s check out what they had to say about the new version of FiveM.
FiveM Support For GTA 5 Next Gen Edition
The official post by the FiveM team on Cfx.re Forum mentions, “FiveM servers will soon support this upgrade.” They said, “While we don’t have an exact release date to share today, we will keep you updated with more information here as development progresses.” Furthermore, “We are looking forward to bringing support for this upgraded version of Grand Theft Auto V for PC to the FiveM community as soon as possible.”
The FiveM Team has also mentioned the legacy version of the game will still be supported, and work on that version will continue too. This is to allow players to continue playing games whose hardware does not currently meet the minimum requirements of the next-gen upgrade.
They’ve also said that server upgrades will not be mandatory once the update has been released. However, there will be some limitations when it comes to the cross-play capability. As there will be a difference between the server versions, players will not be able to run both versions on the same server.
